What is respite care? A plain guide for Calgary families

Caring for someone you love can fill every part of your day. You know their routines, their needs and what makes them smile. You may also know how tired you are, even if you don't say it out loud.
Respite care exists for that moment. It gives you time to rest while someone you trust provides support.
What respite care means
Respite care is short-term support for a person who usually relies on a family caregiver. At Cyberlight Care Services, we offer it as short-term assisted living.
It's a break for you, and a safe and welcoming place to stay for the person you care for. Respite doesn't replace you. It helps you keep going.
Who respite care can help
Cyberlight Care Services supports:
- youth, adults and kids with mental and developmental challenges
- adults and youth with physical challenges, including cerebral palsy

- you'd like to know what's available before you need it
