Privacy policy

Last updated: November 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how Cyberlight Care Services Inc. handles personal information through this website, cyberlightservices.com. We follow Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act.

This policy covers our website only. It doesn't cover the records we keep when we provide care. If you have a question about those, please talk to us.

What we collect

We only collect personal information when you choose to send it to us through a form on this website. When you send us a form, you agree to this policy.

  • Contact form: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your message, and any files you attach.
  • Careers form: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, the position you're interested in, your message, and any files you attach, such as a résumé.
  • Volunteer form: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your availability, your message, and any files you attach.

Please don't include health or care details about yourself or anyone else in these forms. We can talk about those by phone.

When you visit this website

You don't need an account to use this website, and we don't ask for personal information to read it.

We use Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager, to understand how people use this website, so we can improve it. It uses cookies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how you found us, your device and browser, and your general location. We don't use it to identify you, and we don't send your form details to it.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's opt-out tool. The website will still work.

We don't use advertising tools on this website. Like most websites, our hosting provider also keeps basic technical records, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to keep the website running and secure.

How we use your information

We use your information only for the reason you sent it:

  • to reply to your message
  • to consider your job application and contact you about it
  • to contact you about volunteering

We don't sell personal information. We don't add you to a mailing list or use your details for marketing.

Who handles your information

Your form goes to our team by email. We use these service providers to run the website, measure how it's used and deliver your form:

  • Vercel: hosts this website and briefly stores files you attach
  • Resend: delivers your form to us by email
  • Google Workspace: runs our email
  • Sanity: stores our blog posts, not your form details
  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager: measure how people use this website

Arteology Co. builds and hosts this website for us. It can access these systems only to deliver or fix our website services, and it doesn't keep copies of form submissions.

We don't share your information with anyone else unless you agree, or the law requires or allows it.

Service providers outside Canada

Some of our service providers are based in the United States, so your information may be collected, stored or processed there. They handle it to host our website, measure how it's used, and deliver and store our email. While it's outside Canada, it may be subject to the laws of that country.

To learn more about how we use service providers outside Canada, or to ask a question, contact our Privacy Officer. Their details are below.

How long we keep it

Files you attach are held in temporary storage only until your form is sent to us. They're deleted right after that. If a form is started but never sent, its files are deleted within about a day.

Your form then stays in our email. We keep it only as long as we need it for the reason you sent it, or for our legal or business needs. After that, we securely delete it.

How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections on this website and limited access to our accounts. No website or email system can be perfectly secure, so please don't send more than a form asks for.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask how we've used it. You can also ask us to correct anything that's wrong.

To make a request, write to our Privacy Officer. We'll respond within 45 days, unless the law allows us more time and we tell you so. We may charge a reasonable fee for access, and we'll give you an estimate first. There's no fee to correct your information.

You can also change your mind about how we use your information, and we'll tell you what that means for your message or application.

If something goes wrong

If a privacy breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we'll report it to Alberta's Information and Privacy Commissioner, and we'll notify you as the law requires.

Links and donations

Donations are made on PayPal's website, not on ours. PayPal handles your payment details under its own privacy policy.

Our website may link to other websites. We're not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.
